River Restoration

TIES Project

UCSD TIES

Since the conservancy's groundbreaking celebration last year, much progress has been made in restoring the River Park to its natural state as a pristine wetland environment and more is still to come.

The TIES program started in fall of 2004, and the students in the Lakeside program are currently working on three projects: remote monitoring, portable kiosks and conceptual designs for the bridges of Lakeside.

Built in 1908, the Bostonia House and barn were saved from destruction and will eventually find a permanent home near the San Diego River river at the Lakeside's River Park.

Lakeside's River Park Conservancy's first on the ground project, the Gateway Monument at the Channel Road entrance to the trail, wasdesigned by renowned artist, James Hubbell.
