the 100 River Park project on a narrated golf cart ride that last
an hour and half. Limited to
three people per tour.
View
first hand phase one of the restoration of the San Diego River which
included removal of a constriction and restoring a 30 foot channel
to 100 feet to allow for the safe passage of floodwaters.
Many
threatened and endangered species reside at the River Park such
as the California Gnatcatcher and the least Bell’s vireo.
View acres of riparian habitat and go on a multi-use trail for walkers,
hikers and equestrians.
Learn
about constructed wetlands that are designed to use phytoremediation
(sun and plants) as a natural filtration system to treat storm water
and urban run off flows (pollution) before it enters into the San
Diego Rive on its way to the Pacific Ocean.
