Board members are required to join a committee, a regularly attend meetings and events and donate to the organization.
Major responsibilities include:
1. Organizational leadership and advisement
2. Legal guidance and responsibility
3. Financial management, including creation, adoption and
oversight of the annual budget
4. Oversite of program planning and evaluation
5. Formulation and oversight of policies and procedure
6. Evaluation of the Executive Director
7. Fundraising and outreach
8. Promotion of the organization
Qualifications required include:
1. Passion for Lakeside's River Park Conservancy's mission, vision and core values.
2. Ability to contribute time including in-person meetings, web-based communications, and volunteer hours in support of LRPC events.
3. Connections in the local community and the larger San Diego community
4. Experience in at least on of the following areas:

Financial management and/or budgeting

Strategic planning

Fundraising
-
Marketing
-
Previous board leadership
-
Sustainability
-
Community organizing
5. Reside in San Diego County
6. Willingness to attend board member training
