Areas of Operation

In just 14 short years, Lakeside's River Park Conservancy has developed the capacity to embark on large land acquisition programs as well as multi-million dollar flood conveyance and restoration programs. Although our primary sphere of influence is from the base of El Capitan Dam to the border with the City of Santee, we gladly take on projects on San Diego River tributary creeks and to Mission Trails Regional Park. We are constantly looking for land acquisition and land conservation opportunities, opportunties to improve flood control, water quality, habitat and species protection and trail development.  We work hard to optimize all of the grant funding that is available, trying to match opportunities in these areas with sources of funding as they become available.
