Community Service

Complete your required hours while helping restore the San Diego River in Lakeside.

Support River Restoration

Lakeside’s River Park Conservancy can fulfill your community service requirements, including educational or court-ordered. Volunteers help with essential year-long task: watering plants, trail maintenance, riverbed cleanups, and seasonal habitat restoration.

Opportunities available: Tuesday - Saturday

Orientation & Training: Fridays at 7:00 AM

*All orientation and training hours count toward required service.

​Instructions:
  1. Download the General Volunteer Waiver
     

  2. Sign and date the waiver
     

  3. Complete the form to the left, and upload your signed waiver
     

  4. Click Submit

What to Bring

  • Government-issued ID
     

  • Case number
     

  • Long pants
     

  • Long-sleeved shirt or jacket
     

  • Closed-toe shoes (boots preferred)
     

  • Hat (recommended)
     

  • Plenty of water
     

  • Arrive on time

All tools and equipment are provided; volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and sun protection.
