the best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others

The outdoor nature our volunteer work  may require you to wear long pants, long-sleeved shirt or jacket, close-toed shoes (boots preferred), and hat for proper coverage.

Staying hydrated is extremely important--bring plenty of water, especially during hot months.

Water newly planted natives and remove weeds along the San Diego River Trail and within the river restoration area. Learn about local plants and wildlife while helping your environment.

Monday - Friday mornings

responsibilities

  • Follow directions & safety guidelines

  • Arrive on time--team enters field as a group

  • Wear appropriate outdoor work clothes & shoes. Hat & sunblock recommended

  • Bring at least 32 oz of drinking water

requirements

  • Must sign a waiver of liability, if under 18 years old, must be co-signed by parent or guardian

  • Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions & along natural terrain

  • Ability to carry 40 lbs and use basic tools provided
